Diese Erklärung gilt für die Website und den Dienst RemoteRedirect (www.remoteredirect.com) sowie für die RemoteRedirect App für iOS, iPadOS und Android.

2. Welche Daten wir verarbeiten

Benutzerkonto

Für ein Konto speichern wir Name, E-Mail-Adresse, ein Passwort ausschließlich als Hash, auf Wunsch eine Telefonnummer sowie die Zuordnung zu Konten und Links. Sie registrieren sich auf der Website, oder das Konto wird von uns bzw. von Ihrem Konto-Administrator angelegt. Zweck ist die Bereitstellung des Dienstes (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO).

Links und Anzeigen

Zu jedem Link speichern wir die Einstellungen (Ports, Szenen, Skripte, Zeiten) sowie ein Protokoll mit Ereignissen. Verbindet sich ein Gerät mit einem Port eines Links, werden dessen IP-Adresse, der zugehörige Hostname sowie Land und Region (über den Dienst ip-api.com ermittelt) im Protokoll des Links gespeichert und den Benutzern dieses Links angezeigt. Zweck ist der Betrieb, die Fehlersuche und die Abwehr von Missbrauch (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b und f DSGVO). Protokolleinträge werden nach sechs Monaten automatisch gelöscht.

Server-Zugriffe und Cookies

Beim Aufruf der Website verarbeitet der Server technisch notwendige Daten wie IP-Adresse, Zeitpunkt und aufgerufene Seite. Wir setzen nur technisch notwendige Cookies: ein Cookie für die Anmeldung und eines zum Schutz von Formularen (Antiforgery). Es gibt keine Analyse-, Tracking- oder Werbe-Cookies.

E-Mails

Für Bestätigungs-, Passwort- und Hinweis-E-Mails (z. B. zum Ablauf eines Links) nutzen wir Mailjet (Sinch Mailjet SAS, Frankreich). Dabei werden Ihre E-Mail-Adresse und der Inhalt der Nachricht übermittelt.

Schutz vor Missbrauch

Bei Registrierung, „Passwort vergessen“ und dem erneuten Senden der Bestätigung verwenden wir Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), um automatisierte Anfragen abzuwehren (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Dabei werden technische Daten Ihres Browsers und Ihre IP-Adresse an Cloudflare übermittelt.

3. Die RemoteRedirect App

Die App zeigt die Szenen eines Links auf einem Display an. Nach der Anmeldung speichert sie ein Zugangs-Token, den gewählten Link, die Szenen und die Verbindungseinstellungen nur lokal auf Ihrem Gerät. Während die App mit dem Server verbunden ist, übermittelt sie den Akkustand, ob das Gerät am Strom hängt und den optional vergebenen Gerätenamen. Der Server ermittelt dazu IP-Adresse, Hostname sowie Land und Region (über ip-api.com). Diese Angaben werden nur während der Verbindung im Arbeitsspeicher gehalten und den Benutzern des Links auf der Live-Seite angezeigt.

Zur genauen Uhrzeit fragt die App einen öffentlichen Zeitserver (pool.ntp.org) ab. Für die Verbindung zum Display nutzt sie einen USB-Seriell-Adapter (Android, Windows) oder einen RS232-Ethernet-Wandler in Ihrem lokalen Netzwerk; dafür fragt iOS nach dem Zugriff auf das lokale Netzwerk. Die App enthält keine Werbung und keine Analyse- oder Tracking-Funktionen.

4. Hosting und Dienstleister

  • Server: Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd.), virtueller Server in einem Rechenzentrum in Düsseldorf, Deutschland
  • Datenbank: Microsoft Azure SQL (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd.), Region „West Europe“ (Niederlande)
  • Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA): Weiterleitung und Schutz aller Zugriffe auf die Website
  • jsDelivr: Auslieferung von Stil- und Skript-Bibliotheken der Website; dabei wird Ihre IP-Adresse übermittelt
  • ip-api.com: Ermittlung von Land und Region zu IP-Adressen
  • Mailjet (Sinch Mailjet SAS, Frankreich): Versand von E-Mails

Soweit Daten in die USA übermittelt werden, stützen wir uns auf das EU-US Data Privacy Framework bzw. die Standardvertragsklauseln der EU-Kommission.

5. Speicherdauer

Kontodaten speichern wir, bis das Konto gelöscht wird. Protokolleinträge der Links werden nach sechs Monaten automatisch gelöscht. Verbindungsdaten der App halten wir nur während der Verbindung. Gesetzliche Aufbewahrungspflichten bleiben unberührt.

6. Ihre Rechte

Sie haben das Recht auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch (Art. 15–21 DSGVO). Ihr Konto können Sie nach der Anmeldung unter „Konto verwalten“ → „Persönliche Daten“ selbst löschen, oder Sie schreiben an [email protected]. Sie können sich bei der Österreichischen Datenschutzbehörde beschweren (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, www.dsb.gv.at).

2. What data we process

User account

For an account we store your name, e-mail address, your password only as a hash, an optional phone number and which accounts and links you are assigned to. You register on the website, or the account is created by us or by your account administrator. The purpose is providing the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Links and displays

For each link we store its settings (ports, scenes, scripts, times) and a log of events. When a device connects to a port of a link, its IP address, host name and its country and region (looked up with ip-api.com) are stored in the link's log and shown to the users of that link. The purpose is operating the service, troubleshooting and preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Log entries are deleted automatically after six months.

Server access and cookies

When you visit the website, the server processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time and the page requested. We only use technically necessary cookies: one for signing in and one protecting forms (antiforgery). There are no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies.

E-mails

Confirmation, password and notice e-mails (for example about a link expiring) are sent through Mailjet (Sinch Mailjet SAS, France), which receives your e-mail address and the message.

Abuse protection

On registration, "forgot password" and resending the confirmation we use Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) to block automated requests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical data about your browser and your IP address are sent to Cloudflare.

3. The RemoteRedirect app

The app shows the scenes of a link on a display. After you sign in it stores an access token, the selected link, its scenes and the connection settings locally on your device only. While connected to the server it sends the battery level, whether the device is plugged in and the optional device name you set. The server adds the IP address, host name, country and region (looked up with ip-api.com). This is kept in memory only while the app is connected and shown to the users of the link on its Live page.

For an accurate clock the app queries a public time server (pool.ntp.org). It reaches the display through a USB serial adapter (Android, Windows) or an RS232-to-Ethernet converter on your local network, which is why iOS asks for local network access. The app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking.

4. Hosting and service providers

  • jsDelivr: delivers the website's style and script libraries; your IP address is sent to it
  • ip-api.com: looks up country and region for IP addresses
  • Mailjet (Sinch Mailjet SAS, France): sending e-mails

Where data is transferred to the USA we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention

Account data is kept until the account is deleted. Link log entries are deleted automatically after six months. Connection data of the app is only kept while it is connected. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You can delete your account yourself after signing in under "Manage account" → "Personal data", or write to [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at).
